The Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre (the Centre) has requested a grant from the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) to establish capacity to collect light detection and ranging (LiDAR) data and conduct LiDAR end-user training on behalf of its Borrowing Member Countries (BMCs).
The expected outcome of the Project is improved capacity of BMCs to make decisions for more effective management of natural hazard and climate risks. The Project will help to establish the capacity of the Centre to manage geo-spatial data; and develop LiDAR products and enhance skills of BMCs’ end-users to use LiDAR data sets and products in decision-making.
