The Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) will be hosting a workshop to launch the Bank's revised procurement guidelines for Consultants in the Cooperative Republic of Guyana on November 26 - 27, 2012. Mr. Norman Cameron, Head of Procurement at CDB, will be the facilitator for the workshop, which is scheduled to begin at 9.00 a.m. on November 26, 2012. Dr. the Hon. Ashni Singh, Minister of Finance, will give the opening remarks on behalf of the Government of Guyana. The workshop will be held at the Ministry of Finance, Georgetown. Approximately 30 public sector staff members involved in implementation of Government of Guyana projects financed by CDB are expected to participate. This will be the seventh such workshop organised by the Bank to launch the "Guidelines for the Selection and Engagement of Consultants by Recipients of CDB Financing" (October 2011). Similar workshops have already been held in St. Lucia, Belize, Jamaica, Grenada, the Cayman Islands and the Commonwealth of Dominica.
