Who Can Apply
Internships are open for students who:
- Are nationals of a CDB member country
- A current or recent past student (within 12 months) of at a minimum, a Bachelor’s degree programme from an accredited university.
- Available to work full time for a period of three months
- Are capable of working in a multicultural team environment

The Details
The selection process consists of four main stages:
- Candidates apply online
- Applications are reviewed internally and shortlisted
- Transcripts are submitted as proof of enrollment in programme in an accredited university, or evidence of awarded degrees
- Selection is made and the successful candidates are informed
The duration of the internship is for a period of three months, commencing in June (renewable for another three months up to a total of six months), on a full-time basis (35 hours per week).

The internship is for 3 months commencing in June of each year.

You must be a current or recent past student (within 12 months) of at a minimum, a Bachelor’s degree programme from an accredited university.
You will be advised in April whether you are successful. If you are selected, you will be asked to provide a current transcript and an academic reference.
The official language of the CDB is English. Fluency in the official language is required for participation.
The current internship offerings requires physical presence at the CDB headquarters for the duration of the internship. Remote arrangements are not accommodated at this time.
CDB will provide accommodation and a daily stipend to assist with meals, transportation, and other incidentals for interns relocating to Barbados for the period of the internship.
Yes. You will have an opportunity to participate in relevant training facilitated by the Bank during your internship.
Yes. Your supervisor will conduct feedback discussions with you regularly throughout the internship and you will receive an overall evaluation at the period's end.
Yes. We will ask you to complete an exit survey at the end of your time with us so that we can continuously improve our programme.
