Overview
The Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines (GOSVG) has received financing from the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) in an amount equivalent to EUR128,590 to develop and implement a capacity building programme for spa service providers and develop and implement Certification Programmes for cultural service providers and other CSME-approved vocations. Payments by CDB will be made only at the request of GOSVG and upon approval by CDB and will be subject in all respects to the terms and conditions of the Financing Agreement. The Financing Agreement prohibits withdrawal from the financing account for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, or for any import of goods, if such payment or import, to the knowledge of CDB, is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security Council taken under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations. No party other than GOSVG shall derive any rights from the Financing Agreement or have any claim to the proceeds of the Financing.
The following consultancy assignments will be procured under the project:
- Consultancy Services for Capacity Building for Spa Service Providers in Tourism Management, Marketing and Sexual Harassment Sensitisation
- Consultancy Services for First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Fire Safety Training
- Consultancy Services for the Development of a Database
It is expected that these will be procured during the period: March–June 2023.
Eligiblity
Consultants from Member Countries of CDB will be eligible to participate in these procurement opportunities. Also, the eligibility for procurement shall be extended to countries eligible for procurement under EU-funded projects, which are not CDB Member Countries[1]/. Potential Proposers are advised to review the detailed eligibility criteria detailed in Section 4 of the Procurement Procedures for Projects Financed by CDB (January, 2021), as published on CDB’s website.
