Summary

This project will provide a feasibility study and recommended designs for the rehabilitation of 6 km of sea defences and ancillary waterfront development between the capital city of Georgetown and Ogle Outfall, and the reconstruction of the ferry terminal and market at Stabroek and Vreed-en-Hoop. The project will provide the Government of Guyana with shovel-ready designs and cost estimates to reduce flooding and erosion and improve climate resilience along the waterfront; and to improve access to safe transportation at the Stabroek Market for persons travelling along the Demerara River.
