By letter dated March 5, 2021, Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines (GOSVG) requested assistance from CDB for the financing of a project that would enhance its COVID-19 crisis response and promote resilience building and recovery in the Health Sector in SVG (the Project). The constant cycling in and out of the response and recovery modalities associated with the continued impact of COVID-19 and spikes in the disease significantly negatively impacted the ability to finalise the scope of the project in a timely and efficient manner. The demands of COVID-19 on the Ministry of Health severely stretched already limited human and other resource capacities. This request, however, remains one of the strategic responses of GOSVG to the COVID-19 pandemic.
