Overview
In December 2019, the Board of Directors of the Caribbean Development Bank approved a new Strategic Plan for the period 2020-24. This new Plan, developed within the framework of the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda, sets out a programme for the Bank to build social, economic and environmental resilience while engaging with its BMCs for a more effective and sustainable development outcome.
Against this background, CDB Corporate Communications Unit wishes to engage with a suitably qualified Consultant to provide the services, which as outlined in the Terms of Reference. Payments shall not be made to persons or entities, or for any import of goods, if such payment, to the knowledge of CDB, is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security Council taken under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations.
CDB, the Executing Agency, through its Corporate Communications Unit, wishes to procure consultancy services for the purpose of informing internal and external audiences of the Bank’s Strategic Plan 2020-24. Further information may be found in the Terms of Reference.
The duration of the assignment is expected to be for up to 15 working days in June/early July 2020.
CDB now invites eligible service providers to submit Expressions of Interest for the provision of the pertinent services.
Eligiblity
Consultants (young professionals) shall be eligible to participate if:
- The persons are citizens or bona fide residents of an eligible country; and
- In all cases, the consultant has no arrangement and undertakes not to make any arrangements, whereby any substantial part of the net profits or other tangible benefits of the contract will accrue or be paid to a person not a citizen or bona fide resident of an eligible country.
Eligible countries are member countries of CDB.
In the assessment of submissions, consideration will be given to technical competence, qualifications, and experience on similar assignments. Further information may be obtained from the address below between 08:30 and 16:30 hours Monday to Friday.
Instructions
Deadline for submission of EOI to the address below, is no later than 16:30 hours (Atlantic Standard Time) May 22, 2020. An electronic version of the EOI in PDF format needs to be submitted. The submission should include the Consultant’s name and address, and shall be clearly marked “Expression of Interest – Communications Assets for Strategic Plan 2020-2024”
CDB reserves the right to accept or reject late applications or to cancel the present invitation partially or in its entirety. CDB will not be bound to assign any reason for not shortlisting an applicant and will not defray the costs incurred by any applicant in the preparation and submission of an Expression of Interest.
