CDB's 50th Anniversary Celebrations

Oct 18, 2019

50 Anniversary CDB logoOn October 18 of this year, the Bank celebrates the signing of the agreement to establish the Bank. The Bank officially began operations three months later on January 26, 1970. In 2020, CDB will celebrate five decades of achievements in advancing the Region’s development agenda.

In commemoration of the 50th Anniversary milestone, we will acknowledge member countries, donors and partners and pay tribute to staff (past and present) who have contributed to the Bank’s legacy.

Throughout the 15-month period of celebrations, beginning October 2019, we will reflect on our journey thus far, and share our vision for the future of the Bank and for the Region, with a series of initiatives that celebrate, educate and entertain.

Commemorative activities include:

  • Find the Charter Map Quest
  • Video Challenge - The Caribbean I Want to Live In
  • Anniversary Church Service
  • Recommitment to the Charter
  • Mobile Digital Exhibit
  • Gala Dinner
  • Staff Awards
  • Multinational Fair and Concert
  • Staff social activities
  • Corporate social responsibility projects
