Overview
GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE
The University of the West Indies (UWI) Mona has received financing from the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) in an amount equivalent to nine hundred and eighty-three thousand, eight hundred and eighty-six United States Dollars (US$983,886) towards the cost of the implementation of the Climate Systems, Techniques and Resources for Improved Decision-Making, Education and Sustainability (Climate STRIDES) Project and intends to apply a portion of the proceeds of this financing to eligible payments under contracts procured under this project. Payments by CDB will be made only at the request of the UWI Mona and upon approval by CDB and will be subject in all respects to the terms and conditions of the Financing Agreement. The Financing Agreement prohibits withdrawal from the financing account for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, or for any import of goods, if such payment or import, to the knowledge of CDB, is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security Council taken under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations. No party other than the UWI Mona shall derive any rights from the Financing Agreement or have any claim to the proceeds of the Financing.

- Geographic Information Systems Collaborator
- Junior Web Developer
- Consultancy Services for a Curriculum Review
- Consultancy Services for a Writer – Climate Change Textbook and Teachers’ Manual
- Consultancy Services for a Reviewer – Climate Change Textbook and Teachers’ Manual
- Consultancy Services for a Manga Script Writer and Game Board Developer
- Song Writer
- Game Programmer
It is expected that these will be procured during the period November 2024 to September 2025.
The following goods and non-consultancy services will be procured under the project:
- Software subscriptions for statistical models
- Storage for webserver
- Services for copyediting, proofreading, formatting, production, layout, illustration and printing
- Production of audio books
- Services for a song producer
- Services for a film making company
- Services for a graphic artist
- Printing and packaging of a board game
- Venues for stakeholder consultation meetings, testing and training sessions.
- Promotional memorabilia, flyer and advertisement
- Overseas travel
- Software, programmes, tools, and flash drives
- Services for French and Dutch translators
It is expected that these will be procured during the period February 2025 to October 2025.
Eligiblity
Consultants, contractors and suppliers from member countries of CDB and other countries eligible for procurement under the European Union (EU)-funded programme, which are not CDB member countries, in accordance with the EU Eligibility Rules will be eligible to participate in these procurement opportunities.
