Scope of the Financing Window:  The resources will be used to finance actions aimed at facilitating transformative aquatic and agri-tech research and the use of innovative agri-tech solutions and techniques in plant or fish operations. Identified interventions should cater to a sustainable and scalable model that can be replicated throughout the region.

   Examples possible interventions under this window may include actions aimed at, inter alia:

1. Financing innovative aquatic/agri-tech solutions with scalability potential, which facilitate greater resilience of farmers and fisherfolk.
2. Fostering an enabling environment to extend the use of technology in agriculture and fisheries, the action may facilitate technical advice and expertise to enable agri-food businesses to commercialise their innovative products.
3. Promote links with EU-based academic and applied research centers, with a particular focus on agriculture productivity-enhancing technology, nature-based and agro-ecological solutions and sustainable farming techniques adapted to the Caribbean context to foster greater resilience of farmers and fisherfolk. (This action may also include piloting agriculture productivity-enhancing technology in selected value chains in collaboration with EU-based academic and applied research institutions.)
