Seminar 1 – Employment Equity: Promoting Inclusion in Caribbean Labour Markets
On June 19 at 1:30pm (EDT), we broadened the discourse on policies to promote the equal participation of vulnerable groups in the labour market.
Expert panellists shared their thoughts on aspects such as education and training, gender equality, digitalisation and good governance.
The specific objectives of the seminar were to:
(a) increase awareness on the structural and systemic challenges in the Caribbean labour market and its disproportionate impact on vulnerable populations;
(b) exchange knowledge on evidence-based policies to achieve equitable labour market outcomes for key demographic groups; and
(c) promote good practice guidance and recommendations on innovative inclusive policies that drive equitable and sustainable labour market growth.
