Over the next three days, youth in the Turks and Caicos Islands (TCI) will learn how to build a successful business in the creative industries at the 2017 VYBZING Youth Forum. Under the theme, “Start Up and Stand Up: Promoting Creative Entrepreneurship among the Youth," the interactive, resident Forum will engage participants in theoretical and practical exercises that will highlight key concepts in creative entrepreneurship. Approximately 30 persons, ages 18 to 35 years old, are participating in the event. Topics include: the building blocks of creative entrepreneurship; opportunities for creative entrepreneurship in TCI; conceptualising creative business project ideas; social media platforms; strategic marketing and branding; and intellectual property and creative entrepreneurship. The Forum is hosted by the Caribbean Development Bank through its youth outreach programme, VYBZING, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Youth, Sports and Library Services, Centre for Entrepreneurial Development, and Invest TCI. The VYBZING Youth Forum takes place from April 26 to 28, 2017 at Beaches Turks and Caicos Resort Villages & Spa, Providenciales.
