Dr. Wm. Warren Smith, President of the Caribbean Development Bank, hosted the Bank’s 2020 Annual News Conference. Speakers included Dr. Justin Ram, Director of Economics and Mr. Daniel Best, Director of the Projects Department. The format featured presentations and a Q&A session.

Dr. William Warren Smith provided an overview of 2019 regional economic performance and a forecast for 2020. He also discussed the main challenges facing CDB’s Borrowing Member Countries and outline recommendations for driving transformation in the Region.

Dr. Justin Ram provided an analysis of the Region’s economic challenges and prospects and share recommendations for strengthening implementation in the Caribbean.

Mr. Daniel Best highlighted the results of CDB-supported projects implemented in 2019 and shared planned projects and expected outcomes for 2020.
